How do you make a website?

What's your Message

The first thing you need to do is to decide on what it is exactly you want your website to do. Will you be selling things? Providing information? or just simply having a place to upload family pictures to? Once you make a decision on direction, you must come up with a name like mybrightidea.com or whatever it is you come up with and purchase a domain name. This shouldnt cost you more than $10.00, look around, you will find deals on domain names. Godaddy is a good company to check with, since you can purchase a domain and get hosting for your website. Hosting is the second most important thing you need. Hosting is basically the place your website will live on the world wide web. You have to pay rent for this service. Rent can be anywhere from $3.00 to $30.00 per month and if you pay by the year, it would be safe to assume around a hundred bucks would cover hosting. Now that you've got your domain name and hosting account setup, you can get down to the fun part. Website development, which I will cover in the next posting.
